UPDATE: (Wednesday 5pm) the appeal has now gone through the half-way mark with more than £150,000 contributed.

The Bluebell Railway’s emergency appeal for funding is steaming towards the half-way mark.

Nearly £150,000 of the £300,000 target has come in from members of the railway, supporters and the public.

I spoke about the appeal on the Mid-morning Show on BBC Radio Surrey & BBC Radio Sussex and mentioned some of the people who have contributed.

The appeal has also been reported by Uckfield News.

And the Sussex Chamber of Commerce highlighted the progress so far.
